Her songwriting routine is now an inspiring source for hopeful producers. Niykee is always listening to beats and discovers many that spark ideas. I go out to my backyard with my guitar, and then the lyrics appear and it's usually completed in less than 30 minutes. As she continues develop her skills as a lyricist, Niykee explains that the pain of her experiences in the past is a constant source of unimaginable inspiration. It's difficult to escape the painful memories from my childhood, and especially losing my younger sister. The memories end up getting included in her songs. The memories influence my songs and creates a deeper meaning under everything which is an important thing to me--I need to know that I'll be able to listen to any one of my songs 20 years down the road and be proud of what I had to say.
